According to contemporary research studies, children, devoid of enough sleep, are at the increased risk of obesity. Generally, the risk of being overweight is at maximum during the age span of 9-12 years.
The Findings of the Research Studies
The researchers observed that body mass index and sleep times of 785. As an average, those kids slept 9.45 hours a night at the first observation round and at the second round 8.78 in sixth.
According to research studies, kids are more susceptible to be obese due to sleep problems. The defensive effect came from previous bedtimes rather than later wake times.
The researchers admit that there are some variables that can affect the results. As they have suggested parents may try to make the kids fed. Often the sleep deprived kids also request for food.
Factors Involved in Obesity for Little Sleep
There are three factors mainly that aggravate the risk for the sleep deprived kids to be obese.
