Anyone would love to lose weight but loose skin-yuck. But do all and sundry develop the problem of loose skin when they lose weight. The answer is ‘no’ it is not true for all.
Is Loose Skin An Issue While On Weight Loss Plan?
There are different conditions that can tell whether you will develop loose skin once you lose weight.
Elasticity Of Skin: When you lose a lot of weight then your skin will tend to be loose; this is because when you were fatter your outer skin had stretched that much to accommodate the excess mass. However, when you lose weight the skin doesn’t shrink back as it is not that elastic. But, people who are lucky enough (and have super elastic skin) have less hanging skin.
Age: Age is another very important factor. The older you grow the less capable is your skin in getting back to your new shape.
Time: The longer the time you spend on losing weight the better. A couple of pounds in a week is great, because that saves your skin as well as is a healthy pace of losing weight.
A little hanging or loose skin does not hurt but fat does; so don’t need to worry about that as long as you have a slim and healthy body. So, no need to stop exercising for this fear. Exercising is a good way to get back to shape as well as it ensures firmer skin. Surgery is never advised. It is totally your choice and comes with its own pros and cons.
